Heard the Thiel Viewpoint speakers and was impressed--they mount right on the sides of a flat panel tv and Thiel paints them and sizes them to match the tv (very attractive look, + excellent Thiel sound). Thiel says they have a wide dispersion and therefore there is no need for a center channel speaker, which I find hard to believe! I was leaning toward using a Thiel SCS3 under the tv (probably 50 or 55 inches) as the center channel with the Viewpoints. Does anyone have any experience with the Thiel Viewpoints or thoughts on the need for a center channel with them? Was also considering the Thiel S1 Subwoofer with them--any experience with that subwoofer?
