I have a Sony STR-600 (probably have the number wrong...but a sony receiver with 100 watt rms each channel) and Sony floor standing speakers(5') and sony surround speakers. The surround speakers are mounted high on the side walls near the sitting area. The problem is that most of times the surround speakers are silent, even in 5.1 and I would like more sound coming from them. Is this because sound was recorded this way, or is there something else I can do. Can I get better speakers etc?? Thanks....do you guys get the same feeling sometimes?
