Keep in mind that it will be used 95% for DVD movies and TV. (very little music only) My room is 20x25x8 which is a pretty good size. I have about 2300 spent on the front projector and screen leaving about 1200 for audio. After searching and searching I've come up with the following setup: Receiver: Yamaha RX-V750 for approx. 450 http://www.audioholics.com/news/industry/yamaha_RX-V750_pr.html Speakers: Harman Kardon HKTS 14 for 600 http://www.cnet.com/Harman_Kardon_HKTS_14/4505-7868_7-30751098-2.html? tag=tab I picked the speakers for the big bass sound.
