Moron New member Username: Quicksilver Post Number: 1 Registered: Nov-04	Posted on Tuesday, November 09, 2004 - 20:03 GMT I noticed the onkyo 570 has no s-video or optical inputs. Why exactly do I need these? What does this mean for DVD playback, and HDTV audio?
Anonymous	Posted on Tuesday, November 09, 2004 - 20:59 GMT Optical inputs are usually used for Dolby Digital and DTS. I've heard that you can't do those modes without it. I don't know much about s-video though.
