Onkyo SKS-Ht240, speaker posts & wire gauge

Sorry if this question is too elementary. I just purchased the Onkyo 240's (from Macmall for $299 w/ free shipping) after reading editor and reader reviews as I was unable to find anywhere to test drive them. I just noticed (should have paid attention to specs) that they come w/ clips instead of binding posts. This is my first HT setup, but I'm pretty sure that this is a negative thing. I've upgraded my speaker cable to 14 AWG Ultralinks (based on this article http://www.hometheaterhifi.com/volume_10_2/ultralink-CL414-cable-5-2003.html)but am concerned about the clips. Is this a big issue? Is there any way to convert the clips to binding posts or anything else that can be done to minimize the problem? Any advice from anyone would be appreciated.
Matthew E Therrien, if you see this post, I noticed you're a strong supporter of the 240's. DId you do anything to deal with this issue?
