Choosing speaker wires for your Onkyo.

Just wanted to know what brand and gauge you guys recommend. I was thinking 12 gauge for the front and surround speakers, but have no clue what to get for the sub. also how much better than the generic brands is the monster cable brand, is it really enough to justify the difference in price? Any opinions would be appreciated. Thanks.

I picked up the AR 16g wire (white), oxygen-free from BB, seems very well made. The 100' roll even comes with 4 speaker pin connectors. My system sounds great with this and cost was way lower than the monster cable.
