Unregistered guest | I need help deciding on an upgrade. My current A/V system is as follows: Denon AVR 3803 Denon DVM 1805 Hitachi 42HDT20 Plasma KEF Q5 Front Left & Right KEF Q1 Rear Left & Right KEF Q9c Center Velodyne SPL 800 Sub Woofer Scientific Atlanta Explorer 3250HD Digital Cable Box Hughes Hi-Def Satellite Box I want to upgrade my Receiver and am considering the Mcintosh setup. I have also looked at NAD's T163/T973 as well as Yamaha's RX-Z9. I am starting to starting to get a little confused. I have read alot of the reponses in this forum and you guy's seem to be a lot of help. Questions: What is the minimum component video bandwidth necessary for HDTV? Will I lose Video signal by running Component Video through A/V box as opposed to directly to Hitiachi's TV Box? (It has 2 component video inputs) What will Progressive Scan Output/DCDi etc. on the receiver do for me if I am already using a DVD player that has it? Will it make any difference in my Digital Cable/Satellite signal? I am willing to replace my current DVD player with a better unit and am also considering Monster Cable's Voltage Stabilizer. I really like the Mcintosh setup but Yamaha has the latest and greatest video stuff. If money was no object, what should I do? Thanks in advance for any advice. |
