james watson Unregistered guest | I fancy getting a teac reference 300 system, and the shop recommended 2 bose single cube speakers to go with it. I have yet to hear them in action, but cannot believe this is a sensible or quality option. Anyone use this kind of setup? |

Try to hear these bookshelves and go with the one you like best - take them home to try out - ask about return policy with no re-stocking fee. PSB Paradigm Titan Monitor audio bronz B&W 303 Athena Mate it with a sony amp, and will sound better - sa-wm200 ($74 at www.etronics.com) There are other choices for mini system you might hear : This is a great deal on Denon with a good Mission speakers (70% off on refurb): http://www.ecost.com/ecost/shop/detail.asp?dpno=272987 This will sound better than teac with Bose for a lot less. Another Denon Mission one with a bigger sound is this one: http://www.overstock.com/cgi-bin/d2.cgi?PAGE=PROFRAME&PROD_ID=567677 They both sound good, but the second one has separate Cd and Amp unit, and a bigger speaker for bigger sound. Mission is a good speaker company - they are much better than Bose, and comparable to theothers I mentioned on the top. These Denon system will sound better than Teac-Bose setup for a lot less. |
