Anonymous | Introducing the World's First 7-Channel Home Theatre Amplifier to Include SEVEN Mono Blocks and SEVEN Toroidal Transformers October 1, 2002, Billerica, MA ...... Sherbourn Technologies (www.sherbourn.com) introduced the world's first 7-channel amplifier, Model 7/2100 at the CEDIA trade show in Minnesota. The innovative amplifier includes 7 mono blocks, 7 toroidal transformers, 7 heatsinks and 2 power cords. In 1998 Sherbourn made history by introducing the world's first 1.5kW home theater amplifier with 5 mono blocks and 5 toroidal transformers with each mono block outputting 200/300 watts into 8/4-ohms respectively. In a design continuum, Sherbourn now introduces another world first with the 7/2100. It still has the same individual 4/8-ohm output power as its predecessor, but because its 4-ohm output is now a massive 2.1kW, it comes equipped with two removable power cords. Housed in an elegant free-standing or rack-mountable chassis, the 7/2100 includes 7 mono blocks, 7 toroidal transformers, 7 heat-sinks, 56 Bi-polar/Mosfet same individual 4/8-ohm output power as its predecessor, but because its 4-ohm output is now a massive 2.1kW, it comes equipped with two removable power cords. transistors, and over 140,000 micro-farad capacitance. These impressive components deliver an awesome level of clean, accurate power for 7.1 movie soundtracks and multi channel or stereo recordings. Other 7-channel amplifiers allocate power from 1, 2, or 3 transformers, but the 7/2100's mono block concept delivers identical power to each channel with a peripheral advantage of minimizing cross talk between channels. The rear panel includes XLR and RCA inputs, gold-plated 5-way binding posts, a low-volt trigger input and our LDS (Load Detection System) control that helps facilitate a trouble-free speaker installation. In unison, the 7/2100 and PT-7000 pre/pro/tuner (separate press release) will deliver an awesome combination of power, innovation, elegance, and performance. They offer the first affordable alternative to the ubiquitous and frequently underpowered receivers. Together, they give a 7.1 home theater system of unparalleled excellence. Sherbourn's 7 mono block design delivers an accurate and powerful performance.
