New member Username: BadlydrawnbenPost Number: 1 Registered: Sep-04 | After reading a number of the posts on the board, I've settled on getting a Pioneer 563a based on how highly recommended it seems to be. Its got pretty all the features I really want (DVD-A, SACD...) and its more than reasonably priced. It should work well with the HK AVR 230 receiver I also plan on getting very soon. Looking online for places that still sell this Pioneer player I stumbled across this website: http://www.220-electronics.com/dvd/pioneer563.htm It looks like you get a modded 563 that can play any region and format for around 250$ with shipping. Is this overpriced or worthwhile? I couldn't find any mention of this on the message boards so I thought I'd see what your collective thoughts were. |

I've also got a few PAL music DVDs that are region 0, but won't play on most American DVD players because they aren't NTSC. would an unmodded 563 be able to play these dvds? |
