PSB Alpha T for my NAD T742?

I have a small budget for 2 speakers for my NAD T742 - approx $300. I was looking at bookshelves: Axiom M2i, PSB Alpha B, NHT SB1 but have pretty much decided that I'd rather get a couple of Towers, for 2 reasons:
1. I have a toddler and I think the towers will be more stable than bookshelves on stands;
2. Adding the cost of the stands to the bookshelves above bring the total cost up close to that of some budget/quality towers.

Here's my question, I can't afford the PSB Image 4Ts, but how about the PSB Alpha T's? There aren't many postings or reviews about them. Does anyone here have any comments on them? Alternatively, can someone suggest a similar quality tower in the $250 to $350 price range? I'd be interested in what Hawk has to say as he seems to be well informed in this area.

Thanks in advance.

Here is a review that says the Alpha Ts are great speakers. I have only read fantastic reviews of PSB speakers, and when I have gone to listen to them, thought they sounded fantastic. I have heard the Alpha Ts at a shop, and they sounded great for "entry" level speakers. I have PSB Stratus Golds and the PSB Subsonic 7 speakers, and I am very, very happy with them, and I have read that the price/performance is fantastic throughout the PSB line.

Go listen to them if you can, they should sound great with a NAD receiver, as the head company is the same (Lenbrook Industries). I believe Hawk has posted in the past that PSB and NAD make a great combo.

Good luck!
