Panasonic DV-578 SACD/DVD-A player

I saw it for $129.99 at Tweeter today (including rebate). Seems pretty much alone in its price class for a machine that plays both SACD and DVD audio.

Would the hookup be done by connecting the DVD player to the receiver through optical connection?
