I need to hook one end of my speaker wire to my ONKYO reciever and the other end to my Audigy sound card. The problem is that the sound card has RCA connectors and the reciever has screw lugs ( red/black). Which is the + and - on the RCA plug. Is the pin portion of the plug the positive line ?

Believe it or not but..just as I was ready to cut my RCA cord to match your configuration one of my son's came along to correct the "OLD MAN" and saved the day. I did not have to cut the RCA cord like ONKYO said. Thanks for your help. JCH

I'm glad you figured it out, or you were about to have a very bad day. If you connected the speaker output terminals from your Onkyo to an RCA cable and plug that into your sound card (line-level audio in)... ouch. Somethink would have had to give.
