I've looked into Denon, HK, Marantz and wanted to know if anyone has good ideas on a good receiver that is a great value - maybe last years model, or a great price, etc. Budget $500 or less, would prefer 7.1 but not a necessity. Thanks Other ideas on what would be good with the bose speakers (I think yamaha makes them too bright). |

Read what audiophiles are saying about panny: http://db.audioasylum.com/cgi/m.pl?forum=amp&n=35201&highlight=sa-xr45&r=&sessio n= Smoother and cleaner than hk - looks sleek too. |

Panasonic would sound smoother and cleaner, but HK is not bad at all. You might want to go used at www.audiogon.com and look for outlaw receiver. Don't expect to be blown away by the sifference though - you have to upgrade your speakers for that. HK is not bad. |
