Tuesday, August 24, 2004 - 03:43 GMT I have a Marantz SR5400 receiver and am thinking of buying a pair of B&W 602 S3 to go with it. Is it a good match ? Later on, I'm planning to get a full 5.1 HT system with 602 S3 front, 600 back & LCR60 center together with a sub. Any comment is appreciated. Thanks.

Tuesday, August 24, 2004 - 11:28 GMT I like this combo even better - for about the same money. www.ascendacoustics.com speakers Panasonic SA-XR70 ($340 from the web - google it to find the best price) B&W makes good speakers no doubt, but only their upper models really sound good to me. And I thinkg the panasonic has better bass and is smoother.

Tuesday, August 24, 2004 - 12:58 GMT Tim, B&W makes very good speakers at all price points but I don't think they are a good match with your terrific Marantz 5400 which IMO is the best in it's class. Look at Monitor Audio's Bronze and Silver series and you'll find a perfect match for your Marantz. Good luck.
