You can get them on the www.amazon.com They do improve the sound. Among the cables you mentioned, I vote for the 5e. They will all work, but you might want to experiment to see which sounds the best. I am getting Belden 1192. http://shop.ebay.com/i.html?_nkw=Belden+Wire+Cable You can also find mogami cable on ebay which should be pretty good - even better than 5e. Try to get thick ones - since it's long - will sound better. Perhaps if you do get a Yamaha cavit, you can make a long usb cable - that might give you a better sound. Another option is to get this philips mini - has usb connection and sounds surprisingly good for the money. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000278KKI You should be able to get pretty good fidelity from your computer - might want to read this thread on www.audiogon.com to get the best sound. http://forum.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/fr.pl?icomp&1&ctg&0&50& Hope this helps, |
