Occasionally, I DJ school dances. The PA has eight channels, each channel has a 1/4 inch input and an XLR input. When I hook up two CD players, in different inputs, I have to use a normal 1/8 inch plug from the CD player, to a 1/4 adapter, and then into the mixer.
The problem, is that when you plug that 1/4 adaptor all the way into the board, the sound is REALLY messed up. Only when you pull it out halfway is the sound normal. So that means, if anyone jossles the plug or bumps the table, the sound gets weird.
I sometimes will hook up a CD player to the red/white line out option, but there is only one. So in order to have two CD players, one has to be hooked into one of those eight channels. Have you ever heard of such a thing? Is there a way around it?
