Need Help!! Matching Reciever to Speakers

I am running a Yamaha reciever (3years old) and looking to replace it. With my current setup, I can bust a window on the lowest volume setting. I am looking to find a another reciever to replace my yamaha and hopefully recieve a smoother sound. Below are the recievers I am considering but, am not tied to. Yamaha V2400 (Yamaha rep told me this line was much smoother) Denon 3805 I am not an expert and like the auto setup option on both the these recievers. Any Help would be appreciated.
