Thursday, October 18, 2018 - 15:21 GMT ok...so around black friday time I was going to purchase a new amp to hookup to my tv. Basement tv room and simply want a 2.1 setup. Have a dvd player and stream tv as well. Have def Q 100's and posted on the sub forum regarding the emo subs. Want to go with the NAD c328 as it's simplicity seems to fit the bill. Was also considering the Onkyo 9150, and wondered if anybody here has heard either of these two amps ????

Thursday, October 18, 2018 - 18:10 GMT Another possible choice would be Emotiva. They make an inexpensive receiver and if you want to buy an amp, a tuner-preamp, as well. For a PREMIUM 2-channel receiver (receiver includes FM tuner) the OutLaw RR2160 would be a good, longlasting choice.

Thursday, October 18, 2018 - 21:14 GMT . NAD has always been more of a PITA to get fixed. The Outlaw is a good choice for 2 channel. It has a dedicated subwoofer out. .

Thursday, October 18, 2018 - 23:09 GMT Thank you Jan. The outlaw is out of my price range. It really is between The nad c328, onkyo 9150, or the Yamaha 501.

Tuesday, October 23, 2018 - 06:38 GMT 'b' stock Outlaw doesn't save THAT much $$$. Unfortunately. I'd be thinking more long-term value and thinking the Outlaw will be around after you are done with the NAD, Onkyo or Yamaha. I can see the Outlaw ending up as a 2nd or 3rd room system 'center'.

Tuesday, October 23, 2018 - 13:34 GMT . I'd be thinking the Outlaw will still be worth the same in five years as it is today because it will still be working.

Sunday, October 28, 2018 - 05:14 GMT For Pete's Sake, Jan, we're gonna have to stop Agreeing. You bet. Outlaw should retain value very well indeed. It's prior model, the RR2150 was made for maybe 8 or 10 years essentially unchanged. Even a change in factory where it was made, and a subsequent Stereophile RETEST didn't change anyones generally good opinion. If this were 'Consumer Reports', it'd be a 'best buy'.
