A friend of mine recently let me borrow his pair of M-Audio BX5s (https://www.amazon.ca/M-Audio-BX5-D2-Speakers-Pair/dp/B005F3H6Q8), but I'm having the most difficult time trying to get the left stereo information to play on the left speaker and the same for the right. I'm using a Xonar DGX sound card and according to the manual the left and right sound comes from one jack (manual: http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/Audio_Card/Xonar_DGX/E11106_Xonar_DGX_UM_V5_web .pdf?_ga=1.95807578.776623969.1489279373). I've tried using a Y cable adapter, but this results in both speakers receiving both left and right stereo information on each speaker. This seems to also cause all the mono center sound to disappear, and this also happens if I only have one speaker connected to said left and right jack. Is there some sort of adapter that let's me do what I'm looking for? My Y cable adapter is just one that I found in my box of cables and electronics so I'm not convinced that it's made for the job. If not, is there something I can do to fix this issue? Thanks! |
