For just music? Look at AudioEngine speakers. The A5 is a little more than you want to spend but will be with you longer. I heard them at the recent THE Show in Newport Ca, and they were very nice. And even demo'd in a room maybe even slightly larger than a typical dorm room.....The speakers have a built-in amp, so you just need to plug stuff in. |
