I have a Sony HP-310 player that came with 2 speakers to plug in. The radio on this works great, get's really loud and is clear quality.
I have already replaced the needle.
When you tap any spot on the arm, it will make a loud noise. (Yes, it is set on phono mode..) But when I set the arm down on the record, I have to turn it COMPLETELY up to hear it, and it's still real quiet. It is also way scratchier than it should sound.
So obviously the needle works, or it wouldn't play sound! And the speakers work too...so why is the LP so quiet?
Is it a problem between where the needle is setting on the two sound receptors..? And how do I fix it?
I doubt anyone here recognizes a Sony HP-310 just by the number. Everything I find with a search engine indicates this is a vintage component. How about filling in the missing information? What is a Sony HP-310?
