Well I am currently running an old Pioneer VSX-D902S, but I think it is time to upgrade to a digital receiver. I have Polk rti100s, a csi40, and fxi30s and was hoping someone could suggest a receiver that would match these speakers. I am willing to spend around $1000 and am currently looking at the Yamaha RXV3300 or the Onkyo TX-SR800, but am open to suggestions since I am new to digital receivers. Thanks for any suggestions!

Gr1m-
Look at the NAD T762. It can be had from Saturday Audio Exchange (www.saturdayaudio.com) at closeout for $899. It simply is the best sounding receiver in the price range.

I would not get either the Yamaha or Onkyo. Yamaha and Polk is a badmatch. NAD would be great as would Elite or H/K or Marantz. The above suggestion would be hard to beat.
Thanks for the info! I have actually never heard of NAD until coming to this board, but it seems to be a universal opinion that their receivers are top in this price range. I think I will order the NAD T762 and give it a shot.

I received my NAD today, but can't set it up until my speaker cables/coaxial arrive tomorrow. I have a quick question though, is there any way to check the manufacturer date? I looked on the unit and the box but I can't seem to locate it. thanx
