I recently replaced a dated Marantz CD player with a NAD C521BEE - the problem is, the NAD emits a soft hum. That's the CD player - not the speakers!
I can hear the hum up to 3 feet away from the player - provided there is no background noise.
I have switched off all the other equipment (NAD amp, Denon receiver and Sony mini-disc) and disconnected the C521BEE from the amp: and the player still hums. The humming only stops when the C521BEE is switched off.
I have tried dedicated power sockets and tried a downstairs power socket (my hi-fi lives upstairs) - all to no avail: the C521BEE still hummed...
Is there anything I can do about this - does my NAD need a trip for repair/replacement?
Many thanks and regards, Paul

Well, it is obviously under warranty, so I would have it seen by a service tech just to be sure--won't cost you anything, so why not?
