Neal Richards | My roomate fried my sony str-de525, so im fiding myself in the market for a new reciever. This will be used for about 20% cd player music (stero in), 60% music from computer (5.1 or 6.1 in), and 20% DVDs. The price range is $100 for a rough replacement, $150 for something superior. Im looking at ebay and refurbished- so this is probably the $200-300 new price range. Derek | Sherwood makes Dolby Digital channel receivers for under $100. Pioneer makes one of $150 that should be superior to the Sony. Otherwise keep looking at refurbs. |
