Can I connect an Av amp Dual Model CR 5950 RC to my Mcintosh Ma5100 & have the mac handle the speaker output? Should I run the main output from the av to the Aux of the Mac? is that correct? then connect my speakers to the mac amp? Or should I have separate av unit for movies & separate amp for Music? I don't want to run 2 sets of speakers and I want the sound quality of the mac unit. I'm pretty confused. What should I do?
I want to be able to run all my input sources such as CD, tuner & phono into the mac & have only my tv - DVD into the Dual. I'm not too fussed about the SQ of DVD & TV but want to use the mac amp strictly for CDs & music listening. Is it possible to connect my main 2 speakers & sub to the Mac & surround speakers to the Dual by connecting both the Mac & Dual together? Is there a way?
