I've had this tape deck for years. It was my "work horse" one because it had DBX noise reduction and prior to the advent of CD recorders I was making my own "best of" tape collections. It began showing its age though when I could not get either the record or playback function to take in (REC) or play out (PLAY) an even L/R signal. It was like trying to chase a ghost because I took it in for service a couple of times to no avail.
I still have the unit but have not tried to use it in quite awhile. Would anyone know if there is a market for such a tape desk these days? Obviously it would take a little TLC to get it back to working right but if I could find the right home for it that would be great.
Thanks for any suggestions on where to list such a gem.
You could always try selling it on Ebay or craigslist. Either someone will share the same love that you have for it or possibly use it for parts. I imagine it would be pretty difficult to find anyone who could actually fix such an old model.
