I had the good fortune of listening to a pair of what I think were the Krix Lyrix last night at a friends house. It wasn't a prolonged listen, but long enough to be left impressed, considerring it was a rather mundane Yamaha HT reciever driving them, they played deeper & better than I thought they would (I had never heard of the brand before last night), and seemed very listenable, even at the uncomforatably loud level my friend insisted I listen to them. http://www.krix.com/Product/Reviewsdetail.aspx?p=57&i=90 http://www.audioreview.com/mfr/krix/floorstanding-speakers/lyrix/PRD_120984_1594 crx.aspx |

This Pheonix appears to be the current model: http://www.krix.com/Product/Detail.aspx?p=44&id=59 No dealers / resellers in Canada. |

My brother had a pair of 3 way floorstanders, I forget which model, before he upgraded to the Spendor S8e's. I believe he prefers the Spendors, but they are higher up the chain than the Krix he had - which, by the way, he once raved about. |

Also, my friend uses a Sony DAT player, which I've never listened to outside of a showroom, on the whole, the system sounded very nice & my friend loves it. |
