Pick the best SOUNDING receiver, and ignore the power ratings.
There are some quite good stereo receivers available for nice prices. |

Posted on I would consider an HK3490 or HK3390 from Harman's eBay store (a last minute $200 bid will usually do the trick for the 3490, even less for the 3390).
If budget isn't a concern, then the NAD 725BEE and Marantz SR4023 should also be on your short list. |
