The Dayens (Ampino) amp he eludes to in his review has also garnered high praise considering its modest price. I always enjoy reminders that megabucks are not required to acheive audio contentment. Just a decent space, some listening time, and careful component matching. Viola!, bliss. |

Silver Member Username: HawkbillyNova Scotia Canada Post Number: 608 Registered: Jul-07 | I would think 90+db would suffice, unless you're in a large room, or like your music particularly loud. I'd love to have a few of those speakers he used to review those amps. The Zu's especially. |

Gold Member Username: ExerciseguyBrooklyn, NY United States Post Number: 2718 Registered: Oct-04 | Those Tekton 4.5 are 91dB...hmm? |
Gold Member Username: DmitchellOttawa, Ontario Canada Post Number: 2720 Registered: Feb-07 | Nuck spent too much time playing the drums the only way you can play them - LOUD. |
Gold Member Username: DmitchellOttawa, Ontario Canada Post Number: 2721 Registered: Feb-07 | Those are neat little amps Chris. You gonna order one so you can review it for us? |
Gold Member Username: ExerciseguyBrooklyn, NY United States Post Number: 2719 Registered: Oct-04 | I don't even have room for my Tekton/Trends set-up at the moment, so no David, not right now. |
Platinum Member Username: NuckPost Number: 12733 Registered: Dec-04 | I think the full range Tektons would be a wonderful match for that little amp. Stable impedence around 8 ohms. |
Gold Member Username: DmitchellOttawa, Ontario Canada Post Number: 2729 Registered: Feb-07 | I've heard the mid-range of the Tektons described before as "addictive". |
Gold Member Username: ExerciseguyBrooklyn, NY United States Post Number: 2726 Registered: Oct-04 | From what little time I've spent with them, I'd have to agree, and they're not even fully run-in. |
Platinum Member Username: NuckPost Number: 12760 Registered: Dec-04 | Are you selling or keeping the Tektons Chris? |
Platinum Member Username: NuckPost Number: 12761 Registered: Dec-04 | Right now you have to move them in the closet to get your dress shoes out |
Gold Member Username: ExerciseguyBrooklyn, NY United States Post Number: 2730 Registered: Oct-04 | Something like that, and I have a party tonight. I am getting pretty tired of juggling them around, but I'd rather not sell them. If I do, I've got your number on speed dial Nuck. |
Platinum Member Username: NuckPost Number: 12767 Registered: Dec-04 | Just to make things difficult, CM, maybe I send you one of these little tube amps for review... |
Gold Member Username: ExerciseguyBrooklyn, NY United States Post Number: 2731 Registered: Oct-04 | The Tektons are a bit more efficient than the Ling Singles, so the should be a much better fit. I think I told you, I was planing on buying a house when I picked these up a while back, I figured that along with the T-Amp & the Sony HD Radio receiver and/or this sweet-sounding Sony portable CD player I have, it would make for a sweet office/small room set-up. But we haven't been able to pull the trigger on a house, so they remain in the box. |

Platinum Member Username: NuckPost Number: 12768 Registered: Dec-04 | pickup in Canada. Trying to wrestle the Tektons from ya. |
Gold Member Username: Mike3Wylie, Tx USA Post Number: 2023 Registered: May-06 | If I lived in a different house with a different wife I might try this minwatt IA and the Tektons. Then again if that were the case I would not have the cave and set up I have today. |
Platinum Member Username: NuckPost Number: 12786 Registered: Dec-04 | The little flea amp holds some promise, in fact. I like the look and numbers for the Lings...hmmm... |
