Gold Member Username: Arande2Rattle your ... Missouri Post Number: 2951 Registered: Dec-06 | This is a speaker DRIVER I'm talking about. Does anyone know of a forum or maybe a source I can go (to learn more about this)? The reason I ask is A) I scheduled physics next year and hope I get to do a project like this (or an amplifier maybe, or some sort of opamp-based audio circuit?) B) This is the basic career (audio design etc) I'm hoping to follow, so practice would be cool. I know the basics, like the factors that affect performance, such as magnet strength (and field), heat dissipation, resonance (from mass and compliance), materials (stiffness, strength, mass, etc..).. all that good stuff. But I'd like a bit of help with more info, thanks. |

You will not find very much technical information on line about specific drivers or about driver design. You can look through a few driver manufacturer's web sites. Sites for Paradigm, KEF, B&W, etc. don't really tell you about their drivers so hit places that build raw drivers. Stick "DIY loudspeaker" in a search engine and start looking. Your best bet is to hook up with the DIY "Loudspeaker" site and ask if anyone there has any more suggestions. There used to be a guy over there who I think went by "Planet Ten" who should be able to help you out. . |
