Bronze Member Username: MillerwMuskokaCanada Post Number: 24 Registered: Nov-08 | I've come across an nice deal on a 5.1 Yamaha HTR 5730, ($90) and I'm wondering how the 'stereo' setting works on surround receivers. I'm wondering if the 500W that the receiver has (and usually splits up 5 x 100W in surround) will become a 2 x 250W when I switch it to stereo. http://www.yamaha.com/yec/products/productdetail.html?CNTID=200027&CTID=5000400& ATRID=1000&DETYP=ATTRIBUTE (if that helps) Thanks a lot! |

But for the most part they don't. Nuck is right, that Yamaha will only push a true 30-40 watts. |
