Posted on Any thoughts on either of these with a Rotel 1080 amp in balanced set up to drive B&W (600's) or PSB (Image) bookshelf speakers? |

Posted on The DR5 is a very good pre, especially the phono. It has no remote. The cp35 usually has no phono, and if it does it is not very good. Has remote. The cp 35 has a FL display that has been known to cause problems(I just fixed mine), but works flawlessly regardless. The DR5 has a bias adjustment, so matching to another amp is a bit better. Both are balanced, extremely quiet and musical, with the cp35 being a touch more dry than the fuller DR5. |

Posted on Both are at the minimal end of their respective series', thus the lower $. |

Posted on Thanks Nuck, just what I needed. Don't need the phono. Real reasonable $ on A'gon. Looks like a great option for a balanced pre at reasonable price. |
