Wednesday, August 20, 2008 - 15:16 GMT Should be ok. It's alright for the speakers to be higher than an amps minimum impedance. It's not ok for the speakers to be lower.

Wednesday, August 20, 2008 - 18:26 GMT 6 ohm speakers will not stay at 6 ohms for any realistic length of time. Some speakers list them as 6 ohms, meaning a nominal impedence. A 6 ohm speaker may go as high as 16 ohms and as low as 4 ohms. See if they have a spec that says minimum inpedence. Some companies are more honest with these specs than others.

Thursday, August 21, 2008 - 15:26 GMT Correct - if you buy 6-ohm speakers, set your amp to the 4-ohm setting and you'll be fine.
