New member Username: FreeheelerCO Post Number: 2 Registered: Jul-08 | I'm looking to spend under $300 for a receiver that will give good FM reception in my rural, mountainous area, where the nearest radio stations are 7 and 20 miles away. (Neither my Onkyo SR603 nor my Philips MCD708 are able to pick up any stations, and my landlord won't let me install an antenna on the house.) This receiver will be used only to play music in two rooms with in-ceiling speakers (the bedroom and attached bathroom). Since I can't picture wanting to output different sources to these rooms simultaneously, a second zone isn't necessary; I can simply turn the B speakers on & off as necessary. What brands and/or models will offer excellent FM reception in a rural area? Thanks in advance for your advice! |

This is going in a small space; a micro-sized amp/receiver would actually fit better, although I can make a full-sized amp/receiver work. Thanks for your time, Ross |
