Bose Jewel speakers

Hi Folks,
I am new here and hoping that I can get some help.

I recently purchased some Bose jewel speakers the ones that come with the lifestyles 48 system. In retrospect it may have been a mistake and I may end up selling them.

I am hoping I can get some help. I did not get the sub to go with it. Can I hook those speakers to another type of sub or do I need to purchase a Bose one?
Also, can connect to a normal Denon receiver?

I am really getting the run around by Bose so I am hoping that I can get some help here.

for the lifestyle system, you need the bose bass module, which is not a subwoofer. It is the woofers in a seperate box, away from the mains.

simply put, it has the woofers the main speakers lack.

I did not buy the lifestyles system, just the speakers that came with it... I am hoping to connect them to another receiver.

if you connect those speakers directly into the receiver, they will blow in a heartbeat.

IMHO, if you can sell them, that may be your best bet. You can get them to work with a Bose bass module, but you'd have to buy it from ebay, as well as adapters to make the speakers accept the non-bose speaker wire.

This would be a better choice, sonically much better than the Jewel Cubes, and more convenient for you as well.

Check out the PSB Alpha LR if you need small. Those are quite nice and tiny, aside from being Canadian.
