S-Video has better resolution and component is the best of the three. You should have a subwoofer or LFE output on the Kenwood. Use that to hook up your powered sub. Don't split it off the mains. |

What you want to do is go directly from the DVD video outputs to the video inputs of the TV. Its a better connection in general. |

It all depends on what, exactly, you want the sub to do. Try "Search" on this forum. But, as with composite/S-video, why not just try it and see? I think you will find S-video wins hands-down. |
