I am using an optical cable from the front face of my audio card to my amp. Now that is all fine and dandy except that I want to be able to utilize EAX games and other surround related stuff on my computer which is only giving me 2 channel in this setup. I have enclosed links to pics of the amps connections and the sound cards connections. if anyone can help me figure out how to get this setup w/ the EAX either through a converter or some sort or some other way please let me know. I'm too using it with my audigy 1 and the only way to work properly is to use the analog 6 channel input. It works well but it's a pain in the .... constantly swapping cables. The output which you use for digital output (if you connect it from your card) is used (when in analog output) for center/sub output. Not to mention the need to setting digital/analogue output in the speaker config... Anyway, how you like your yamaha 340? For movies is very good but for music leaves much to be desired. For gaming it's just awesome. |
