Greetings - first timer to the forum, appreciate the wealth of info out here.
Recently moved into a house which is prewired for surround in one room, w/ a single stereo termination point in kitchen and a pair in dining room - both w/ volume control wiring.
Trying to put together a reasonable system which would allow music in all rooms simultaneously. Will not start out w/ video surround, but would like to keep the option open to watch something in the one room while music plays in the others.
Starting from scratch. Looking at Paradigm SA 35's or martin logan tickets (in walls) as mains in the surround room, smaller in-ceilings (one single stereo in kitchen and pair in dining room). Looking more for decent sound in the latter rooms rather as opposed to high-end...not planning to blow the roof off.
Leaning toward the SA35s though only listened once and didn't catch the receiver. Listened to Pioneer elite, Arcam AVR350 and NAD (T765)- really liked the NAD - all of these were w/ martin logans.
Anyway to do what I want, the dealer recommended a good audio-video receiver for the surround room, and a separate amp (single) to power the speakers in the other 2 rooms.
Looking for any thoughts on 1.) validation on component setup for the rooms and 2.) specific recommendations what to pair w/ either the SA35s or the martin logans. CD/tuner will be main input sources.
