I my funds are limited, im think my choose with either be Cambridge Audio 640A V2 or NAD C352. Im wondering if any folks here are fimiliar with the sound of this Silverline and which amp will be the right macth? Im musical tastes is stuff like Sting, James Taylor, Springsteen, acoustic comp. jazz, folk. NOT hard rock or heavy metal or classical. |

Personally, I'd give this some consideration; http://www.sixmoons.com/audioreviews/winsome/mouse.html It should have sufficient power to drive the Silverlines to a reasonable if not loud level in most rooms. The T-Amps offer very good - and in some respects, excellent - performance for low dollars. Cruise the archives of that site for more information on T-amps and read this, https://www.ecoustics.com/electronics/forum/home-audio/193312.html If you can manage to put together the Winsome from a kit, the extra money spent should cover a much better CD player. Can I ask why you bought fairly high resolution speakers and then must scrimp on the amp and source player? Have you never come across the saying, garbage in = garbage out? . |
