Sony receiver and speakers: very low tech question

I find myself with a Sony receiver (STRDE197)that produces 100 w per channel. My speaker specs (Sony SSF6000) say that its "power handling" rating is 180w. I have read in various threads that having too little power causes problems for the speakers. Do I have a problem here? My apologies for my beginner-level understanding.

PR, you do not have a problem unless you increase the volume to a point that the receiver starts clipping or the tweeters are stressed.
Ignore all the numbers. When it sounds like it is hurting, thats too much.

I totally agree with Nuck.

You have to also remember that that receiver does not put out a full 100 watts anyways, i bet its like 60 at best.

if you hear weird noises and or ear fatigue really fast then you need to turn it down.
