Friday, December 28, 2007 - 08:38 GMT I'm about to install my single P3 sub but have a question about the wire running from my amp to the sub. Is it ok to use a large 9ga wire for this? I have alot lying around and would rather use it than buy 12ga if I can. Will this affect anything? Thanks in advance. Colin

Friday, December 28, 2007 - 13:29 GMT It should be better, especially on a long run. The main benefit is less heat and power losses The only problem might be whether or not it fits the driver and amp connections.

Friday, December 28, 2007 - 14:58 GMT . What's a "P3" sub? Is this a powered subwoofer? If so, why aren't you running a low level interconnect rather than a high level speaker cable? How long is the cable run? How much does 12 A.W.G. cost you? Where'd you find "9" guage cable? .
