I have a Sony PS-lX4. It's an automatic turntable so obviously once the record has finished the arm returns to it's starting position and the turntable slows to a halt.
For some reason the other day, the record had finished, the arm had returned to the side but the turntable continued spinning and wouldn't stop (so I had to turn it off the plug). I powered it back up a while later and the turntable started spinning again even though the arm was in the start position.
So basically the thing will carry on spinning until I unplug the record player.
Does anyone know what's gone wrong and how I can fix it? It still plays records but there's obviously something wrong with it otherwise it would stop spinning.
How you can fix it? You mean like tell you what part has slipped a cog and how to get it back in place? Or do you mean tell you what repair shop to take it to so they can fix it for you?
