Thursday, November 15, 2007 - 17:18 GMT I heard from couple of sites that the pre- power amp should NOT be powered down immediately after playing for couple of hours. I do not understand the reason behind it. Can someone explain the reason behind it please? Thanks in advance. - Bals.

Thursday, November 15, 2007 - 21:31 GMT . You mean let them idle for a few hours after you have finished listening and then turn them off? That's a new one on me. I generally leave my gear on all the time. But I've never heard of letting a pre amp cool down. I can guess at a very "out there" reason but it is too extreme to be of any consequence. .

Friday, November 16, 2007 - 00:59 GMT Lately I do not turn anything off either, except the Tuner as I thought I might have been getting some bleed over from it.

Saturday, November 17, 2007 - 21:49 GMT For just the pre(is it tubed?), I cannot imagine why. My class A amps are shut down after use and warmed for 10 mins before use again.
