Natalie Cole's unforgettable album is a good one for me. Lights down low, cordial in hand, always a good time.

Side note, I can listen to Xmas music ALL year long. It's just who I am. It makes me feel good. I also like Sammy. Bojangles does wonders for me......

Most revealing in spite of pops, pits, and occasional scratch barking at me.

Wish I had Mike B's skills for repairing vinyl.

James Taylor 'live' dvd, audio only.
This was shot at the Beacon, years before ;Live at the Beacon'.
This is an outstanding recording on several fronts.
The center channel for JT is focused in a way that seems very different.
The stage is set out in a wide format, and if you have seen JT live, the width of the stage is one of the strongest points of the band.
The ability to pull the small notes nice and tight, even from a distance is a sure sign of a centralized group.
And Louis Conte is just Louis.

Very highly recommended for small listening, if you have a chance.

Baby Boomer Classics - Rockin' Sixties Vinyl

This was a brand new still sealed LP. When it is this clean it brings a smile to my face and my foot goes happily tapping away. The bass is really prevalent in many of these cuts.

Fine, I will continue to be the only one who listens on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Another brand new broke the seal vinyl;

Nirvana - Never Mind

This is such a classic. When I was almost learning to play guitar I played the rhythm section for "Smells Like Teen Spirit" and "Come As You Are". Now that I know what it really is supposed to sound like I am getting the itch to pick up the axe once again!

Is it too late to be a rock n' roll star?

I am a Chicago White Sox fan, however being from Chicago I happen to pay attention on occasion to that other team. To wit, stryvn, no, your team's chances are nil. It's still a Chicago thing dude.

Go Bears, we'll get you in the playoffs Cowpukes.

Kudos on the Essential Dean Martin. There is a wide variety of selections with that Essential series if it is the gray and white packaged CD I think it is.

All guitar tonight. Rat Tomago, Yo Mama, City of Tiny Lights, Rubber Shirt. Then we're on to the Shut Up N Play Yer Guitar box set. Then the Guitar set. Zoot Allures. Joe's Garage (Watermelon in Easter Hay). Before long you'll Wind Up Workin' In A Gas Station. Some Black Napkins and then perhaps Pink Napkins. Floyd...The wall on the tubes.

So here's the story from above.
I was going to work near Stryvn's home, so we set up a meet.
Morning of the job, I got called away, job cancelled, and flew to Cincinnati, without meeting the dude.
2 weeks later, the same customer is ready for me(made sure I got that service call), so I be cruisin' the airort in Toronto.
This awesome chick (India, I think) hauls me in to buy a Crown Royal. $30 for a litre, which is great by me.
Then she says that 2 of the litre boxes(each with the purple bag) is only 50$ and comes with a Crown Royal Backpack.
So I do that.
Well, I show up at Stryvn's place with mucho rye, and a backpack that we laughed and joked about with Mrs. Stryvn over a wonderful steak dinner.
Thats where that came from.
The dude can chef!.

Aw hell, I missed 'mother'.
repeat.

Thanks stryvn. Been listening for quite some time now. Very diverse collection I have I might add. I have classical, some country, 80's metal, 90's pop/rock and club, the standards, and just about everything in between. I can listen to Michael Buble in one minute and Quiet Riot the next. It's just who I am. I find things today that appeal to me, probably because they remind me of my earlier years lol. Damn I'm old.

Elton John, Sleeping with the past.

Have not listened to that one in some time. Many people did not seem to enjoy it due to the synth horn sections. The production can also be fairly heavy at times.

All things considered, it remains my favorite album of his. It is highly listenable, and very enjoyable from start to finish.

Apparently it's long enough to miss a phone call.

Great day here indeed, Art. This on top of the banner day me and my kids had yesterday. Spent the day at the same park my Dad used to take me and my brother to when we were kids. Park right on Lake Michigan....trying (intentionally unsuccessful) to run the creek on the rocks without getting wet. My boys are no different.
