Those Tekton "Dynaco" A25 are totally new, drivers, cabs, x/o, everything. The original Dynaco A25 served as a template for this homage to the original. I wish I could hear them next to a pair of the originals. |

Gold Member Username: NuckPost Number: 8656 Registered: Dec-04 | The original Dynaco 25's had a minor deficciecncy, thaat being the crossovers would belch at the higher levels that they would se. My Mom's Dynaco's suffered that fate, via the Gold Marantz. Nice speakers, but a bit shy. |

The first stereo I ever bought for myself was a Marantz Gold series set-up (circa 1984), I think it was a SR440 received, a TT1060 turntable, and a double cassette deck, a pair of GIANT Gemini three-way speakers, pretty crappy by today's standards, but I was pretty happy. |

Gold Member Username: NuckPost Number: 8664 Registered: Dec-04 | Dude, you would have loved the giants that I had years ago. 15" drivers from the leftover bass amps from the band, with RS soft dome mids and rs supertweeters. In cabs of 3/4" all oak cabs from a pro, heavier than heck and rap on them till yer knuckles busted. Powered with the Marantz gold, they went to excruciatingly high levels and blew out a window. Ahh, the old days! Sorry to bust up the thread. |
