I am wondering if I only connect a speaker, does the other outputs still utilise power. I have an amplifier that is rated at 130W output and I am planning to connect one 4 ohm subwoofer to this.
There is a total of 5 speaker outs, 3 x 30W and 2 x 10W (all at 8 ohms).
If I connect a 4 ohm subwoofer, does this work and how much power could I expect?
Cheers!

If you hook the sub into one channel's output(at speaker level) you will get the amount of power that channel can produce (assuming you are using a passive sub without an amplifier of its own). From the brief description you have given, though, I'm willing to bet if you hook a 4 Ohm anything to one of its channels the only thing you will get is smoke.
