My mind is made up. Next piece for sure. Sure, doesn't everyone want a big discount. Everything I look at on AudiogoN goes really fast, but there has been an Apollo sitting a while. With freight, it is $200 off a new one. Not a huge saving considering service, warranty etc. I guess everyone charges the same retail price for new ones? Seems so online. I know one of you wants to upgrade to Saturn soon, eh?
I did, but I don't!!! The vintage bug has bit me so I'll get a Mac amp, Sansui G6000 and Kenwwod Supremes long before a Saturn. Even used the Apollo commands quite a price, it's worth it.
Vintage. You mean like most of my stuff? OK, I'll send you my Luxman 5T50 tuner. Sounds great with that vintage Onix OA21s integrated amp. The tuner wont hold presets so you have to redial your station every time.
Seriously, I wondered if anyone knew if the price is the same everywhere?
Yes it is, and Rega don't allow online retail of their products as far as I know. A retailer can adverttise online, but can't do online sales with no customer interaction. This is fairly commonm with higher end specialist product.
I understand their thinking, and feel the same way. In fact I have never shopped online before. The Quad11 were my 1st online buy ever. I had never even looked at ebay before now. It may be a long time before I visit civilization again though. We call leaving Alaska: "going outside".
Frank, I think I've mentioned this before: I can name at least three websites here in AUS on which you can add a Rega product to their shopping carts. Maybe they'll get a smack on the wrist.
