What about an Amp that cost less than $2000? Is the Nad C372 or Arcam Diva A90 any good?

Look for a Krell KAV integrated used at Audiogon or check the prices of new ones. They work well with Martin Logans.

That they do. Only problem is they sound like a Krell.

How many sources are you running? If only CD, you could run directly into this and use the front panel gain controls, dual vc's are better than one single with a balance control anyway.

Mac, Cayin or Rowland, show those ML's what a real amp can do. Don't get suckered into buying on paper power alone.

It's to drive Martin Logans. Krell is IMO good enough. And I would rather have the Krell than the Cayin (any Cayin). Again to each his own.

David, If you have interest in tubes you may want to check out Rogue Audio as well.

Jan's suggestion for used Mac is a good one, don't discount the used market.

Cayin with ML probably isn't a good idea. Stick with Mac or Rowland.

David,

Not an integrated, but I have a line on Rowland Model 7s that may come available soon. Drop me a personal email if you want more info.

I only bring it up because it may be offered within you budget. Maybe.

I noticed that Rowland has an integrated amp with 250 wpc at 8 ohms, 500 wpc at 4 ohms. That should be OK for my Martin Logan speekers! Has anyone heard anything positive about this Amp?

I just found out the Rowland cost $6,500, so i can forget about that one.
however I found another Amp that is within my budget. Does any one know anything about the 'bel canto e.One S300iu'? It sounds pretty good in the specs. 150 Wpc in 8 Ohms, 300 Wpc in 4 Ohms. i can even hookup my ipod with it!. Thanks

David,

Do you want to see what the speakers are capable of or are you just wanting to buy something and move on?

I just want to buy somthing decent that works well with my Martin Logan speekers and dosn't cost and arm and a leg. I lke the integrated systems because they are usually more cost effective and take up less space on my wall unit which also has a 37inch LCD and CD/DVD player. My previous amp used with the ML speakers was a old Yamaha.

David,
I several pairs of Martin Logans for listening. I also have a complete Martin logan surround system for 5.1 (Different from my accent I's) Different AMPs etc. If this is also a video system and just audio, Ck out a good Denon. I know my audio file friends are rolling over, but there is very little you will gain by over spending. Before I went to completely seperate systems, I used my AccentI's on the front with Logan Passages for the rear. I used a Marantz- Tuner Pre amp with pre- outs and hooked them up with my Luxman amps. The beauty of this is you still can by Luxman on Ebay. By Luxman before Alps, corp bought them. I use 1976- M-4000's as my amps for music and a Denon reciever (5.1) for video. High-end sound on a realistic budget. I like Krell, but 5 k for an amp?
I am familure with your Yamaha. We sold lots of it! Yamaha used current limiting to keep Its amp stable. Your Martin's are hy-brids. Add the small Martin sub (6 bills retail) big improvment!!
Good luck and tell me how it goes!
your friend,
Db

Hey i'm back from vacation and I'm still undecided on what amp to buy. I checked out the Denon but it only has 80 wpc. Seem a little low on power. The ML specs say I need 80-200 wpc.
Has anyone heard of the Bryston B100 SST ?. Would that be a good amp for my Martin Logan speakers?
