Yes the brands are a good match. Normally, I'd go heavier on the electronics and lighter on the speakers to stay within budget - e.g. NAD C542, C325BEE, Focal 706V on Atacama stands. That said, the Focals are relatively easy to drive so if you must have a floorstander the 714V is the entry level and will suit the NAD.
As for cabling, I use Chord Co. cables. Crimson works well, but Cobra is much better if you can go to it. Match that up to some Chord Co. speaker cable and you'll get good synergy. If you can stretch to Carnival Silver Plus it's a great cable.
